A radish takes three weeks to grow; an oak tree takes thirty years. Both are incredibly valuable, yet their timelines cannot be compared.
When you plant a radish seed, you will see a harvest in about three weeks. It is quick, efficient, and satisfying. When you plant an acorn, you will wait thirty years for a fully grown oak tree.
Both the radish and the oak are incredibly valuable to the world. One provides immediate nourishment; the other provides deep shade, shelter.
