Spiritual cleansing is the practice of clearing away stagnant, heavy, or negative energy from yourself, your home, and your surroundings. It helps restore balance, peace, and lightness so you can feel more grounded, joyful, and protected.
As we continue to cleanse the planet, these are basic, simple steps for everyday cleansing:
1. Smudging / Smoke Cleansing
Burn sage, palo santo, rosemary, or cedar and gently waft the smoke through your space, especially corners, doorways, and windows. Intention: “I release all negative energy. I attach to the highest light.”
2. Salt Bath or Shower Ritual
Add a handful of sea salt or Epsom salt to your bath. Soak for 15–20 minutes while visualizing heavy energy dissolving into the water. For a quick version: Mix salt with water in a bowl and rinse your body, “I am cleansed, I am renewed.”
3. Visualization & White Light
Sit or lie down comfortably. Imagine a bright white or golden light pouring over you from above, washing away any stuck energy. Affirm: “I release everything that is negative. I am cleansed and protected.”
4. Water Cleansing
Open windows and doors, then mop floors, clean table tops. As you clean, set the intention that you are washing away negativity.
Earth cleansing
Walk barefoot daily. At least once, do this as often as possible. Especially if you're around people.
6. Decluttering + Fresh Air
Physically remove items that feel heavy or uncomfortable. Open windows daily to let fresh air and sunlight flow through.
