We were programmed to worship control.
We were taught that if we plan tightly enough, work hard enough, and manipulate variables perfectly, we can dictate the exact outcomes of our lives. We mistake control for enlightening.
Spirituality begins when we realize that control is an illusion.
The tightly clenched fist cannot receive anything new and enlightening isn’t about forcing the river to flow your way since control in any way keeps the being vibing low.
